Fitness Center Site
Executive Summary
The project involved designing and implementing a Joomla website for a popular Fitness Center in the US. The system allows the client to manage its customer details at specific locations. A DMS (document management system) was also implemented where customers can login and download different documents related to a specific fitness center including timings, offerings, training manuals and rules and regulations for the center. We started with the design conversion from PSD to XHTML and then created a Joomla template from this. The Docman component was used for managing the documents related to the center and ChronoForms component was integrated for creating different forms on the system like “Contact” and “Help”. We implemented a custom component for managing customer work-out details and integrated a plugin for having different landing pages for guests and registered users. Also, was integrated a JWPlayer Advance module for showing different videos on the system and a custom menu system to navigate through the application. Social media and other standards such as SEO friendly URLs were implemented as well.
