Demographics Integration with AS400 System

The project aimed at eliminating the double entry made by some users wherein they have to enter patient details once in an EMR web application and then in an AS400 Practice Management System. The data from the EMR DB was extracted, built as Hl7 and sent to a webservice, hosted at the client end. Then using MS Access as an intermediate, a windows service was employed to interact with the AS400 system. Here, the notable thing is that it was not a DB level integration but the automated entries were made in the AS400 system at the UI level.
